Preventable
Wednesday, April 15
6:00-8:00 p.m.
Capri Theater
2027 W Broadway Ave, Minneapolis
We are inviting our community of supporters to a special premier of BWJP’s new documentary, Preventable. Produced with generous support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, this film brings viewers inside the intersection of domestic violence and firearms.
Preventable is a documentary about one of the most urgent and often unseen dynamics in our work: domestic violence and firearms. Through the voices of survivors and the insight of experts, the film illustrates how lives are lost when warning signs are missed—and how prevention is possible when systems respond in time.
Following the screening, guests will join a panel conversation with survivors and leaders working at the forefront of prevention. This event is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the impact of this work, hear directly from those closest to the issue, and connect with others who are committed to building safer communities.
