Advancing The Domestic Violence Agenda in Armenia
Global Rights for Women (GRW) is an international non-governmental organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States that advances legal reform and systemic change to end violence against women and girls throughout the world. GRW partners with women’s organizations and other leaders to strengthen their efforts to identify, intervene, and prevent gender-based violence by centering the voices and needs of survivors themselves, then working to amplify and integrate their voices and needs into legal and other systemic solutions.

The Women’s Support Center (WSC) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization, established in 2010. It operates as a full-service domestic violence center, providing comprehensive support to survivors, including the only two domestic violence shelters and a transitional house in Armenia. In addition to safe housing, the WSC offers counseling, legal aid, therapy, and an economic empowerment program. As an expert consultant for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Council of Europe in Armenia, the WSC also engages in advocacy to drive systemic change. Beyond direct services, the organization tackles broader societal challenges such as gender inequality, stereotypes, and patriarchal values, striving to create a world where women can live in safety, peace, and equality.
