About Us

The Center collaborates with partners globally to advance women’s human rights to equality and safety from violence. Staff work to influence law, policy, and practice via speaking, writing, training, and advocacy. Staff also assist with drafting laws addressing violence against women by forming lasting partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs,) governments, and intergovernmental bodies. The Center responds to requests from around the world for research, consultation, and capacity building. Staff help in developing sustainable training programs for legal and service professionals and monitor the implementation of laws, policies, and practices on violence against women.
