Analysis of the Strength of Legal Firearms Restrictions for Perpetrators of Domestic Violence and Their Association With Intimate Partner Homicide

Dr. Zeoli will discuss the very important findings from her recently published research exploring the relationship between different types of firearms legal prohibitions and reductions in intimate partner homicide rates. This quantitative policy evaluation considered data from forty-five states over thirty-three years, and shows significant correlations between specific prohibitions and a reduction in intimate partner homicide.
