Victim Defendants and Covid-19

Published by: Cindene Pezzell, Esq.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created increased risks and complications for survivors of intimate partner violence, including those who are charged with crimes, incarcerated, or reentering their communities. This webinar will discuss some of the ways that victim-defendants are impacted by COVID-19, identify strategies for assisting victim defendants, both incarcerated and not incarcerated, and share some resources for advocates and attorneys who are currently working with victim defendants. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences working with victim defendants during the pandemic.
