Implementing Probation Group Reporting

Traditional probation practice involves a great deal of tracking of offenders. On a typical day of back to back meetings with probationers, the probation officer will spend most of the time repeating advice and recommendations over and over to people who may be skeptical about the whole process due to various barriers and/or distrust of the system. As caseloads increase and resources shrink, probation group reporting provides an effective solution for balancing accountability and demand.
