Intimate Partner Violence Survivors’ Perspectives of Safety and the Risk of Firearms

BWJP conducted a series of interviews with survivors of intimate partner violence affected by firearms to understand their own perceptions of their safety and the role firearms played in that perception. Through their narratives, this report goes beyond the data and laws around domestic violence homicide risks to deepen understanding of the complex dynamics, harms, needs and survival strategies that shape survivors’ daily realities.
