Understanding Firearms and Intimate Partner Violence Through Rural Law Enforcement Perspectives

Rural communities face unique barriers to addressing the risk of firearms in intimate partner violence. A series of listening sessions in 2025 provide key insights into from the perspective of rural law enforcement officers as to how these barriers are constructed and promising innovative approaches to achieving more consistent and effective removal of firearms in cases of intimate partner violence.
