Effective enforcement of the federal domestic violence firearms prohibitions hinge on the actions and records of local systems. Implementation of these laws is multifaceted and can only be accomplished with a local coordinated community response which brings together multidisciplinary government entities, victim services agencies, and other community stakeholders that reflect the community.
